As summer evenings settle over London, Westminster Cathedral is stepping into the spotlight with one of the city's most extraordinary cultural experiences. From 1 July to 27 September 2026, internationally acclaimed immersive arts company Luminiscence will transform the magnificent Neo-Byzantine cathedral into a breathtaking 360-degree journey of light, music and storytelling.

Already captivating more than two million visitors worldwide, Luminiscence is renowned for reimagining historic buildings through cutting-edge projection mapping. At Westminster Cathedral, 24 high-powered laser projectors will illuminate the soaring arches, pillars and domes with spectacular colour and motion, revealing architectural details in an entirely new way. A unique highlight of the London production digitally recreates the cathedral's never-completed mosaic domes, offering visitors a glimpse of the architect's original vision.

The visual spectacle is perfectly matched by an evocative soundtrack. A specially commissioned script by BAFTA and Olivier Award-winning writer Tim Whitnall is narrated by actor Hugh Bonneville, while the acclaimed Lux Aeterna choir performs live alongside music inspired by composers including Bach, Beethoven, Debussy, Vivaldi and Verdi. Throughout September, selected performances are elevated further with the addition of a live 14-piece orchestra for an even richer concert experience.
