Natural History Museum

Connect with nature in the heart of London as the iconic Natural History Museum is inviting guests to its reimagined five-acre gardens.

Follow the story of how life on Earth has changed over time in their new gardens, from the days of the dinosaurs through to today. Big and small explorers can visit the accessible green space to journey through 2.7 billion years of the planet told through plants, geology, and representations of reptiles, birds and mammals.

Those looking for an extra special visit to the new wildlife haven can buy tickets to take part in specially curated events from tours and sketching workshops to an evening of after-hours exploration before heading into Hintze Hall for a dinosaur disco.

Visitors who don’t want to miss a single detail in the new gardens can join the immersive Garden Tour: Journey Through Time and Nature. Step into a world where nature, past and present, intertwines. Led by one of the Museum’s expert guides guests will trace the footsteps of the past and discover how everyone can make space for nature in our ever-changed world.

For those wanting to try their hand at a Wild life drawing workshop, the Museum will be hosting an exclusive artwork class led by sketching experts in the gardens on 30 August. During the threehour workshop participants – both beginners and seasoned artists - will immerse themselves studying the Jurassic botanicals and urban wildlife to capture the magic of the Museum’s garden and the variety of flora that thrives in them.
